Coxwold Village - Pastures and Moors

The Village Hall is undergoing extensive building work to enlarge and modernise the kitchen and bar area.  Many of the facilities of the Hall will therefore be unavailable while work is in progress and groups/societies that use the Hall regularly are meeting elsewhere.  Look at their own pages/contact details for further information.

IMG 6322cxzJohn Bell's busy with the plastering!  It's now complete and drying out nicely for the first coat of paint to be applied on Wednesday 13th at 3.30 pm - so do come along and help if you can.  John clearly loves his work....

This coming week we expect the kitchen flooring to be laid.  The screed is going down Monday afternoon and the floor proper on Tuesday.  Electrics and plumbing work are mostly done and we hope the new doors will be hung soon.
On Saturday 16th we have the big clean up day by volunteers as called for in the Newsletter and some more painting on Sunday!IMG 6307cxzIMG 6308cxzIMG 6310cxz

The roof space has been cleared and plastered out.  Years of unmentionable dust and dirt were removed by a willing hit team last weekend and the loft is now a useable area.

The plastering is complete and there have been cleaning and painting sessions to help bring the hall in to a usable state.  This coming week we expect the electrical and plumbing work to be completed.  The village market on 30th March will be the first booking and most, if not all, of the facilities will be in place.
