Thornton’s Bakehouse & Butchers is a Bakery and Butchers located in the busy market town of Easingwold.  We’re a third-generation family run business, owned by John Thornton who lives in Coxwold and is the son of Geoff from Thornton’s Butchers which used to sit in Easingwold marketplace and which has recently opened new premises in Chapel Street, just around the corner.

We specialise in handcrafted Pork Pies, Pastries and quality, local Meats.  We offer a full Bakery & Butchery of Pies, Pastries & Meats to wholesale and retail customers alike.  You can order from us by calling 01347 821 666 or call into our shop on Chapel Street in Easingwold.  We're open Monday - Friday 07:00am - 15:00pm and Saturday 07:00am - 13:00pm.

Alternatively, you can pop into The Fauconberg Arms in the village and try our Meat on their menu!

Our Bakery produces Pies and Pastries which are made by hand and baked daily in Easingwold.  We take great pride in producing delicious, hearty, traditional products which taste as good as they look and uphold the exceptional Thornton’s reputation, developed over decades of serving our customers.

Our Butchery has been in our family for generations and we have developed strong relationships with local farmers and suppliers.  We continue to be passionate about providing local Meat which has been born and bred in North Yorkshire.

We also attend the Sherriff Hutton Village Market on the 3rd Sunday of the month and Husthwaite Village Market which is held quarterly.
