All Roads Lead to Ripon: a light-hearted talk about recent research projects by Guy Wilson
Husthwaite Village Hall, Wed 8 October 2025, 7.30 pm
Entry at the door £5 includes a glass of wine or juice.
Everyone welcome, students free
Don’t believe people who say that historical research is an orderly process says Guy, and he will try and prove it by showing how five recent and entirely different projects came about, but somehow became entangled. In the process we’ll have a bit of Ripon history, a bit of nautical archaeology with a distinctly Scandinavian flavour, a bit of cataloguing a fine London collection, and the odd reflection on changing times.
