Coxwold Village - Pastures and Moors

A new footpath is being created in Coxwold village.

It will run from the eastern end of the railway path, where it joins Husthwaite Road, through the wood parallel with the road and emerges at Bumper Castle, just before the houses.  The purpose of the path is to protect pedestrians and avoid them having to walk along the road (which has no footway and is of poor visibility) as a part of the 'Railway Walk' in Coxwold.

The path is being created by volunteers from the village, with acquiescence and support from Newburgh Priory.

The new footpath is one of a number of measures funded by a recent grant for improvement of road safety in the village.  You can see more details here.
